EARTH & ALTAR

EARTH & ALTAR

  • Friday, April 12
    5pm to 8pm

  • April 12 through May 27, 2024
We’re open Thursday to Monday from 11am to 5pm or by appointment.

A story about reverence. Featuring work by earth pigment painter, Jessyjo Darling and ceramic sculptor, Debra Fritts. This show bridges the gap between the earth and the heavens, illuminating the sacredness of all things. We witness a calmness in coming home to the earth and ourselves, knowing that source is ever present within us. In the quiet, in the spaciousness of contemplation, in devotion, we honor that we are all spiritual beings having a human experience.

JESSYJO DARLING

Jessyjo Darling is an earth pigment artist dedicated to the craft of turning earth into paint using ancient techniques. Jessyjo's work reflects the unhurried cadence of nature, meticulously crafted over time to form intricate layers. Her pieces aim to bridge the gap between the external world and our inner spaces, featuring symbolic motifs of swirling primal elements that give the incorporeal form through earth matter.
