SEDONA RIGSBY

  • Sedona Rigsby is a weaver, second-generation designer, and craftswoman who alchemizes plants into cloth. She weaves in her Santa Fe studio and travels to find special yarns made from sacred fibers.

Reshaping the perception of fabric itself, Sedona equips natural materials and plant-based dyes on a variety of looms. She believes weaving is one of humanity’s oldest technologies; that it’s in our bones. When we touch or wear something made in the old and slow way, we connect to our ancestors and to all of humanity.

Her passion lies in making heirloom goods, garments, and elevated wearables from handwoven textiles. Through published patterns she has inspired many to begin their own weaving journeys, and she teaches rigid heddle classes nationwide to help others connect with the practice.

  • Containing the power and expansiveness of the New Mexico sky, these pieces are a cosmic collaboration with the earth elements. The wooden hangers are hand-whittled from fallen trees by local woodworker, Adam Ellowitz. The textile colors are made exclusively from natural dyes, such as black walnut, cochineal, and chamisa and reflect the sunset when it's at last light.
